This program provides free training for those who would like to become champions for Danville city and Pittsylvania County. Learn about exciting attractions, dining and shopping options, accommodations, and more to help create memorable experiences for SoSi visitors!

What Will Each Workshop Include?

Interactive Workshops, featuring itineraries built on the hub-and-spoke model
Informational Presentations by local businesses and stakeholders
90-minute guided bus tour of the Danville area, led by Joyce Wilburn

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive an I Am Tourism Ambassador certificate, pineapple lapel pin, and passes to various attractions throughout the region to experience first-hand the many assets in SoSi.

This course is free and open to the public. Each workshop will be limited to 50 participants. Cancellations must be made at least one week before the event. Call 434.793.1753 to cancel; emailed cancellations will not be accepted. Substitutions may be made at any time.
