The following criteria will be used to decide whether to grant requests for City web site links.
The Tourism web site will provide links to web sites for:
- Governmental and educational institutions.
- Organizations with some relationship to the City (including but not limited to: organizations contracting with the City, organizations sponsoring City activities or programs, and organizations participating in City activities or programs).
- Generally recognized community organizations
- Organizations providing information about art, cultural, and sporting activities in the City’s area.
- Organizations providing information about employment opportunities in the City’s area.
- Organizations providing information about tourist attractions in the City’s area.
The Tourism web site will not provide links to a web site for:
- Candidates for local, state or federal offices.
- Political organizations or other organizations advocating a position on a local, state or federal issue.
- Corporate or other for-profit organizations unless they fit any of the criteria stated above.
- Individual or personal home pages.
Statistical Information: We analyze user traffic patterns on our web portal from information automatically provided by your browser when you visit our site. We use the statistical information gathered in the web log files to measure site and server performance and continually improve the content of our sites to better serve you. The City does not use the information automatically collected to ascertain personally identifiable information.

Site security: CivicPlus, the City of Danville third party web hosting vendor, monitors network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or to otherwise cause damage to the site. Anyone using this web site expressly consents to such monitoring. CivicPlus has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under ours and their control. CivicPlus is located in Manhattan, Kansas.
