The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History (DMFAH) is located in the Sutherlin Mansion on Millionaire’s Row in Danville, Virginia. 

  • DMFAH was designated as a US Civil Rights Trail site, one of only four in Virginia! The US Civil Rights Trail is a collection of churches, courthouses, schools, museums, and other landmarks in the Southern states and beyond that played a pivotal role in advancing social justice in the 1950s and 60s, shifting the course of history.

Danville Historical Society is the caretaker of the largest repository of artifacts, photographs, stories, and documents in the city of Danville and strives to illuminate the present through knowledge of the past.

The Pittsylvania Historical Society exists to preserve and share the rich history of our country for the education, enjoyment, and enrichment of current and future citizens and visitors to the area.

  • The Pittsylvania County Historical Society Museum is located in the Historic 1813 Clerk’s Office in the heart of Chatham, Virginia, behind Town Hall at 16 Court Place. Stop by to enjoy their permanent and rotating exhibits.
